I was so thrilled when I received my package from David Tutera Paper Crafts! If you follow me on Instagram you saw the box of goodies when I received them. I love making cards, but haven't had much time to do any handmade ones myself, so I was really excited to get crafting!
The great thing about this system is that it is so easy to create beautiful cards in just three easy steps.
Step One: Choose a card base.
Step Two: Select decorative layers.
Step Three: Finish with sentiments and embellishments.
There are so many card base sizes and colors to choose from. Once you have chosen your card base, you chose a layer that matches your card size. All the packages are labeled to make it even easier for you to get the right sizes. Add whatever embellishments (tags, die cuts, borders, etc.) and sentiments that you want to complete your card. The

For the first card I made, I started with a kraft paper card.
I found a layer I really liked. Isn't this layer with the cut out holes great?
Adhere the layer to your page with adhesive.
Lastly, choose your embellishments. I found a 'many thanks' layered sentiment and I had some really beautiful butterfly die cuts.
I adhered a small stick-on pearl to my butterfly, adhered the butterfly to the 'many thanks' embellishment and then adhered the whole thing to my card.
The great thing about this system is that with just those four supplies - the card base, layers and two different packs of embellishments I could potentially create 7 - 12 cards!
For the next card, I used all the same steps. For the layer, I trimmed it to fit my card size. To add something special, I added ribbon from my scraps stash and some yellow glitter glue to the 'happy birthday' tag.
Some of the layers come with this really great feature of being sandable. You can purchase the Sand It tool that makes it really easy to sand your paper just where you want to.
You can see here what the paper looks like sanded. It really makes the background pop out!
I am a huge fan of butterflies as most of you know, so I had to make at least one more card with butterflies on it. I was able to use the Sand It tool on the green tag and the background layer.
To show how versatile this line is I wanted to try one more technique. Instead of using the decorative layer as is, I cut circles using a punch from this amazing silver layer paper to create embellishments. I used dimensional adhesive squares to adhere each layer to the card.
Each card took me less than 10 minutes to create! For the amount of supplies you get in each pack in the
David Tutera line it is well worth the money. I wouldn't be able to buy cards from the store for that price.
